George Cabot, Jr. (Romero), son of a department store tycoon, tries to win his father's favor with a business proposal: boost sales by sending package wrapper Kristina Nelson (Henie) to college to wear their fashions on campus. Kristina fulfills her end of the bargain, but George gets her expelled when he involves her in his scandalous divorce.

With the college mired in bad publicity and the school Ice Festival without its new star, it's up to Kristina's boyfriend (Greene) to think of a plan that makes everyone look good.
