At a time when the news is filled with stories of teen-violence and drug use, it may seem that the American family's obsession with sports is a good thing, but whatever's driving them kids are playing more, playing harder, and, even with this country's love of sport, there's concern that they may be doing too much of a good thing. A&E Investigative Reports looks into the parental and societal pressures facing young athletes in the world of competitive soccer, figure skating, basketball and hockey. Two of the five segments of this documentary focus on a young competitive figure skater Leah Agler, whose mother is also her coach, and on Lindsay Ehrlich, a former competitive skater.

With College Scholarships and multi-million dollar contracts for Olympic Gold on the line, the program asks the question "Is winning at all costs worth the price?" A well balanced presentation that leaves the ultimate answer up to the viewer.
